Another week down. Shifts is almost here.
We're looking really solid for an end-of-month release for Shifts, and I cannot overstate how excited we are for you to get your hands on it. Until then, we've been testing everrryyyytthhhiiinnnnggg.
We're about to enter our 2nd round of testing. In the 1st round, we found about 50 issues straight out the gate. In case you aren't aware, that's really good all things considered. I'm super proud of how much effort and attention to detail Alex, Noah and Danh have put into Shifts - it's really showing.
The development team is about to put another test version out, then Maria and I will get back in the trenches, trying to find any pesky little bugs that may still be there.
Once the development team address any issues found in the 2nd round of testing, we'll repeat this process a 3rd time. This time the rest of the VSBL team will join in, using Shifts as if they were back in the restaurant once again. Hopefully after that, we should be in a really solid place. Then...
One of my good friends here in Dallas, JR, and his team are on VSBL. They're going to be visiting us in the office later this week to do some in-person testing. This will help us catch any pieces that may not be intuitive enough, and we'll iterate on them afterwards. The goal is to ensure the product is not only ready & bug free, but also intuitive and easy to use. Shoutout to JR and his team! Can't wait for y'all to visit us!
We've got a fun little process - I start writing help articles by covering the steps needed to do a certain thing, then I create images to visualize the steps. However, the real magic comes in when Erin Lavey, our newest community team member, adds her educational & personal touch. She really makes them shine. Erin and I are working hard on sooooo many new help articles (I think the number is around 40-50...) and we hope these will help support you and your team better.
Keep in mind some things still look goofy, as we're still testing & polishing!

Oh, looks like they're really busy right now, so I'll give y'all the run down.
Lots of stuff is happening in the Community Team's Kitchen, from new getting started guides, to an updated promo video AND first-time ever getting started videos, new website, onboardings, calls, phone number to text questions too, new help articles, and more. They're also working on a brand-new community platform which is going to be AWESOME.
TLDR; there's a lot cooking and it's smelling good. Let's give them some time to bake that Mac & Cheese (I heard it takes forever... *poke* )
This is going to be a quick one. We've been hard at work with all the testing going on, fixing every little bug we can find a polishing the UI.
By the way, on www.vsblapp.com you can now add emails receipts should send to every month. We'd highly recommend you go add emails for anyone keeping track of invoices!
